A break and we’re back to running

The air feels different the last couple days. The edge is off. The heat is ebbing. This morning I awoke to thunderstorms. Real ones with lightening and thunder. The monsoon seasons have been mild this year, but the last two days have been magical.

My second Summer in Arizona has been a vastly different experience than the first. It’s hotter and busier with us buying our house and moving in July, I wouldn’t recommend doing that one, and running Women on Adventures. I’ve missed running. I get out maybe, if I’m lucky, once a week for a four mile run. I struggle on those runs.

Yesterday I ran after dropping Iz at the airport and waiting for the rain to stop. It was sticky and humid so I cut it short. Two miles. It felt good though. It felt like I am back to running and back to happy.
