Looks like we made it!


Our first meal in Arizona as residents! Yes, a sub. It was late when we finally got in and we were car tired.

And then the sun came up and the pod arrived and it was off to work. We had that thing unloaded by noon!


The view from the living room. Seriously, this is kind of amazing. We have a lemon, orange, and fig tree in our backyard. Our backyard! I was just looking up growing seasons in Arizona and it seems we can start planting beets, carrots, collard greens, corn, lettuce, green onions, peas, potatoes, radishes, spinach, summer squash and turnips*.


I’m standing inside the tortoise habitat here. There is a real live tortoise in there somewhere. We are hoping the landlords will let us keep him. If not, it seems as though that is something we will need!

IMG_20150104_073153And finally, yesterday my goal was to finish the kitchen. DONE! It’s such a beautiful space. We made dinner there Friday night, and I can not wait to get started with some food photography in there. Look at all of that light!
